Moovit is a transit application that has made a name for itself thanks to the strong community that backs it up. The app allows users to get real-time transit information, but the latest update to the Android app takes this to the next level.

Moovit has recently introduced a Community program that allows users to provide real-time information on landmarks and locations in the city. It seems that 64,000 people from all over the world have become editors and ambassadors to improve the quality of data provided inside the application.

In addition, they have helped bring improvements to information inside the app and helped others get around more easily. The new update to version 4.13 for Android brings the option to all users to add information inside the application, without having to sign up for the Community program in advance.

Moreover, users will be able to submit photos from bus stops, station entrances, exits, and much more so that others would find their way in an unfamiliar location more easily. Users can add real-time transit data, like station features, its location on the map, name or whether the station is closed for the time being or permanently. In addition, the application will show users how clean or crowded a certain area is.

Moovit comes with the option to search for the best routes in the city, explore surroundings and find the closest stops or stations. It shows arrival times for buses and trains, and it comes with the option to get an estimate of the arrival time to a certain location. Google Maps does have some similar features incorporated, but it seems that Moovit is a bit more detail-oriented. Moovit is used by 40 million people in 1,000 cities around the world.
