Not a day goes by without Microsoft releasing another update for one of its apps, or entirely new applications on one of the major mobile platforms (Android, iOS, Windows Phone).

While working on adding as many features and improvements to Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft released a few updates for some of the apps coming pre-loaded on the new operating system.

Windows Insiders with the latest version of Windows 10 Mobile will be pleased to know that Photos app has been recently updated with new features and improvements.

This is the second application updated by Microsoft after Outlook Mail & Calendar, which we already reported on yesterday.

The latest version of Photos comes with new manual refresh option on the top bar, which animates while updating and offers faster refresh times for local photos.

Also, Microsoft removed the swipe up gesture that would allow users to view file info. The settings page has been redesigned and the Live Tile has been updated with Pan and Zoom effect for photos.

As NPU points out, the application now allows users to set a picture as background and lock screen. Last but not least, with the latest version of Photos, users will be able to share their pictures to email.
