Microsoft has already launched Cortana in a few countries, but making it available worldwide is an entirely different job that won't happen any time soon.

However, the Redmond-based company can hope to introduce it in some of the most important markets for Windows and Windows Phone in the next couple of years.

Well, it looks like France is the next country on Microsoft's list of locations where Cortana should make its debut soon.

Today, Microsoft France confirmed that Cortana would be available in the country by the end of 2015. The timeframe corresponds with the recent reports that claim Windows 10 Mobile updates will be available for multiple Lumia smartphones.

“The version will be released before the end of the year 2015! And Cortana in beta version will be available in same GST,” said Microsoft France Head, Alan Crozier.

Europe has recently become one of the best markets for Windows Phone operating system and Microsoft's decision to make Cortana available in France shows that Microsoft pays attention to customers.

That being said, we expect Microsoft to continue to introduce Cortana in other European countries next year, but where exactly the personal digital assistant will go next remains to be seen.
