Yesterday, an unannounced LG phablet showed up in the GFXBench database, suggesting that the company would unveil a middle-range handset with a 5.7-inch display.

Well, today, LG is teasing “something new” that is expected to come out on September 21. And according to well-known French website NowhereElse, the Korean tech company is bound to unveil the middle-range phablet we were telling you about.

The device will apparently be called the LG Class (LG-H740) and should arrive in the wild with a 5.7-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and a Snapdragon 615 processor under the hood, in combination with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (no word on microSD card slot availability, but hopefully LG will be offering one).

As you can see, the LG Class isn’t of the same caliber as the Apple iPhone 6s Plus or Samsung Galaxy Note5, but it still seems like a decent device that does have a few perks to it. From the image the company shared with us, we can see that the phone has a metallic body and the volume/power keys are positioned on the back in typical LG fashion.

Hopefully, LG will price the phablet competitively, so the device has a real chance of impressing the crowd. LG has also set up another event for October 1, when the company should unveil a high-end device.
