Want your LG G4 flagship to last forever?

LG’s G4 might not be one of the most popular flagships that have gotten unveiled this year, but the phone does boast two features that sweethearts like the Samsung Galaxy S6 fail to bring to the table.

The phone features a removable battery and a microSD card slot, two options that have been consistently appreciated by the smartphone crowd throughout the year. The phone comes out of the box with an already decent-sized 3,000 mAh battery, but if you are a power user, you probably crave for more. After all, the flagship does sport a QHD panel (2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution), which can put a toll on battery drainage.

That’s why third-party accessory maker ZeroLemon has unveiled a new 8,500 mAh swappable battery for the LG’s latest premium flagship. ZeroLemon brings the extra power via a case that gets attached on the back. Since the LG G4 houses the volume rocker and home button on the back of the phone, the case maker had to add some extra buttons itself to the back of the case.

You should also expect the phone to become a lot chunkier, with thickness going from 9.8 mm / 0.38 inches to 21.3 mm / 0.83 inches. The case is made up of soft plastic, and the extra 8,500 mAh battery will take about two to three hours to be fully charged. The third-party battery is currently available for sale on Amazon for an affordable $60 / €53.
