One of the most popular third-party Instagram clients for BlackBerry devices, Inst10, has just received an important update that brings many new features and improvements.

Since Instagram made quite a few changes to their APIs, many third-party clients had to provide updates to their own apps in order to continue to work. The latest update for Inst10 does just that, but it also adds some new tools for BlackBerry users.

However, the update has been released in BlackBerry Beta Zone first, so it will probably take some time until it goes live in BlackBerry World.

Anyway, the official changelog contains many fixes and improvements, such as the option to load more direct chats and support for landscape and portrait Timeline view.

Also, developers have updated Timeline layout and fixed registration. Furthermore, they have added upload media in landscape and portrait orientation and fixed slightly tilted images.

Inst10 users will now be able to send photo / text / heart in direct message chat, as well as compose new direct message. There are now options to approve pending requests or decline pending requests.

Last but not least, the changelog confirms that cropping is now longer required. If you have a valid BlackBerry Beta Zone account, then you can now download the latest update for Inst10, otherwise you will have to wait until it makes it to BlackBerry World.
