The new iPhone 4S model is now available for pre-order in the United States via mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless.

The company had already announced plans to make the move, and has just opened the reservations period for its customers on its website.

The new Apple device is expected to become available for purchase on October 14th, yet those who would like to make sure one unit lands in their handset can already place orders for it.

There are three iPhone 4S models available for reservations at Verizon now: a 16 GB flavor that goes for $199.99 (around 150 Euros), a 32 GB model for $299.99 (about 228 Euros), and 64 GB iteration priced at $399.99 (approximately 300 Euros).

Users interested in getting any of these will have to commit to a two-year contract agreement.
