Huawei's series of phablets is about to get larger with the addition of Mate 8. Following in the footsteps of Huawei Mate 7, the new handset is expected to pack even more powerful specs.

According to an official teaser leaked directly from China, Huawei Mate 8 will be officially unveiled on November 26.

Although the phablet will be initially released in the Mainland, we expect Huawei to begin the global rollout of the Mate 8 soon afterwards.

The Mate 8 is said to pack Huawei's own Kirin 950 chipset that features a 2.2GHz octa-core processor. Aside from that, Huawei Mate 8 is expected to boast a huge 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

It's unclear whether or not Huawei will launch different Mate 8 variants, but we do know that at least one of them will pack 64GB of internal memory.

The Mate 8 is rumored to feature no less than 4GB RAM and an impressive 16-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with an 8-megapixel shooter in the front for selfies and video calls.

Other highlights of the Mate 8 that haven't been confirmed yet might include fingerprint scanner, Corning Gorilla Glass coating and USB Type C port.

Also, 4G LTE and NFC (Near Field Communication) support will be included too, along with other connectivity options.
