Heal is an impressive app that allows its users to call and schedule doctor’s appointments to their homes. It’s similar to Uber, but for physician house calls.

The app runs on both Android and iOS devices, but it’s only available in a few U.S. cities. In addition, Heal works with multiple insurance plans or users can pay $99 for an on-demand visit.

The app’s developers created Heal after a visit to the emergency room, when they noticed that doctors didn’t have the time or patience to attend to their child’s needs. They wished to make doctor’s appointments personal again and make sure that patients get the attention and care that they deserve.

Heal does just that, it allows users to schedule doctor’s appointments for various purposes and assures patients that they will benefit from all the care they need. On-demand calls can be scheduled every day between 8am and 8pm, on the condition that the request is made with 2 hours in advance.

All doctors that register inside the application undergo background checks and are certified as licensed primary care physicians. Users can call doctors to their home, office, hotel or anywhere in the available cities.

The application currently works in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County, Oakland, Berkeley and Peninsula to San Jose. It’s available on Android and iOS devices.
