We're only a few weeks away from the official debut of the next Nexus smartphones and the launch of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and we've got new information on the upcoming devices.

Even though Google hasn't confirmed it yet, it's pretty clear by now that there will be two Nexus handsets launched by the search giant this year.

One will be manufactured by LG, while the other one will be made by Huawei. The first one will be cheaper, since it will come with slightly lower specs.

There have been many rumors suggesting that the LG-made device will be launched on the market as Nexus 5X. However, we had no information about the other Nexus smartphone to be unveiled by Google.

Today, the folks over at Droid-Life report they have received information from a reliable source that claims that the handsets launched by Google this year will be called Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P.

Still, as they point out, there's a chance that Google might have a change of heart at the last moment, so we might see them being launched under different names.

All in all, this is an interesting piece of information about the upcoming Nexus smartphones, which are likely to go on sale via Google Play Store in early October. What do you think about the names that Google has come up with for its next Nexus smartphones?
