Fans of EA's NBA titles will be pleased to know that the company has launched an Android application that will allow them to put their faces in the game.

Thanks to a feature called GameFace HD, you will be able to capture your mug, customize your player's skin ton and hair, and then upload it to your EA account. Once it's been uploaded, you will be able to play as your own customized basketball avatar.

“Exclusive to NBA LIVE 16, GameFace HD allows you to scan your face using your mobile device to create a high-definition 3D model to use on your created player in game. Now for the first time, the same cutting-edge technology used to process and scan NBA players is available to you!” says EA.

Unfortunately, most Android users who have downloaded and installed EA's application have rated it very low, so it appears that developers did something wrong.

The good news is that they still have some time to fix any of the issues that users are complaining about, if they really care about this companion application, of course.

If you want to try it out for yourself, you can now download NBA LIVE Companion for Android for free via Google Play Store. The new application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.4 and up.
