Burberry fashion brand wants to be hip too

High-end British fashion brand Burberry announced earlier this week that it would unveil its latest spring-summer collection this weekend. But guess what? The fashion brand will do so directly on Snapchat.

The popular messaging app is especially loved by the younger crowd, so Burberry wants to take advantage of the app’s popularity to promote luxury fashion to this category of people. The company just announced a few days ago that it became the first global brand to roll out a dedicated channel on Apple Music.

It’s pretty obvious that Burberry wants to construct a name for itself at the forefront of mobile and digital innovation. The announcement has been carefully planned and coincides perfectly with next-week's London Fashion Week, where Burberry is also going to be present.

In recent news, Snapchat for Android and iOS received an update a few days ago that sees the addition of snazzy animated lenses. Furthermore, Snapchat also includes Replay, which gives users the chance to replay several snaps a day (you’ll need to buy them). You’ll be able to use Replay on any Snap you receive, but you can only Replay a Snap once.
