The first Android smartphone to be launched by BlackBerry, the Venice, has just been captured on video. If you haven't got enough of the upcoming slider after the hands-on pictures leaked a few days ago, this would be a great opportunity to quench your thirst of information.

The folks over at Baka Mobile have had the opportunity to take a prototype unit for a spin and shot a hands-on session with the slider.

According to them, BlackBerry Venice might look like a typical Android device, but at a closer look, it shows curved edges on the screen and a slide-out keyboard.

Just like the BlackBerry Passport, the Venice's keyboard senses the user's touch, so it can be used to scroll up and down, thus making it easier to browse the Internet or read long documents.

Although they did not reveal anything else when it comes to hardware, at least BlackBerry fans can finally get a better look at what the Venice has to offer.

The Venice hasn't been officially confirmed by BlackBerry yet, but rumor has it the slider will be unveiled sometime in November. We also know the device will be offered by most US-based carriers.

Since more and more details on the BlackBerry Venice continue to emerge online, we expect to get additional info on the slider's specs very soon.
