Amazon is prepping multiple tablet products

We’ve been hearing a lot of rumors lately saying that Amazon is prepping a $50 / €45 tablet, and its specs have recently leaked online, too. But according to new information, it seems that this is not all Amazon is cooking up in terms of slates.

Trust-worthy serial leakster @evleaks has just posted a picture on his account that apparently showcases an unannounced 10-inch Amazon Kindle Fire tablet that looks a lot sleeker than the company’s previous models.

We’re not being told anything about specs or expected price tag, but one aspect of the device certainly does look intriguing. As showcased in the shared image, it seems like the 10-incher is running a rather stock version of Android.

Why is that such a shocker? Because Amazon’s tablets ship out with the company’s own Fire OS (a forked version of Android) that doesn’t even allow access to Google Play. But if what we see in this image is the real deal, Amazon’s 10-inch tablet might prove to be a contender to the Nexus 9.

The 10-inch tablet does seem to look slightly premium, so it probably won’t come with low-end specs like those of the super-budget tablet Amazon is prepping. To remind you, the affordable device is poised to come with a 6-inch display, a quad-core MediaTek MT8127 Cortex-A7 processor plus 1GB of RAM/8GB of internal storage.
