ZTE’s Nubia Z5 smartphone will soon see a smaller sibling being brought to the market, new reports on the matter suggest.

In fact, it appears that the device has already received the necessary approvals from the Chinese certification entity, with model number ZTE NX402 attached.

According to a recent article on GizChina, the new handset will arrive on shelves with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display, capable of delivering a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, as well as with a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU inside, and 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the smartphone should pack an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with a 5MP front camera for video calling. For the time being, however, ZTE hasn’t provided specific info on its plans for the launch of the device, and details on its market name have yet to emerge.
