Chinese company ZTE already confirmed it would launch Windows Phone 8 devices next year, though the company recently reiterated its support for Microsoft’s upcoming platform.

In an interview for The Inquirer, Chris Edwards, European marketing and development director at ZTE, said that “although we haven’t announced anything yet, I can confirm that ZTE’s first Windows Phone 8 handsets will be arriving towards middle-late 2013.”

It appears that for the time being the ZTE will focus on the mid-range category, but that was to be expected from a company mostly known for its entry-level handsets.

According to ZTE, its upcoming devices will have better battery and cameras, as well as large displays of decent quality. The next Windows Phone 8 devices launched by ZTE won’t be priced higher than 300 EUR (370 USD) outright.
