Google has just updated its YouTube application for Android devices with a few new features and under-the-hood improvements.

In fact, the most important new feature included in the update is the ability to prevent new videos from being added to users' previously watched list.

Dubbed “Pause watch history,” the new option is part of the set of features included in the Privacy tab. You can find it by going to Settings / Privacy.

Those who decide to enable the new feature won't have any videos they previously watched to their history. It's also worth mentioning that the new option is available in the web version of YouTube.

You can now download YouTube for Android 10.18 for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.3 and up.

Keep in mind that, if the new version of the application is not yet available for download in your country, you can either wait a few days for it to arrive or you can get it now via AndroidPolice.

After you download the APK file on your PC, make sure you copy it to your smartphone via USB cable. Don't forget to choose to update the application if possible when installing the new version of YouTube.
