14 DAY TRIAL // Today, Yota Devices officially launched their dual-display YotaPhone in a series of European markets, and also confirmed plans to bring to shelves a successor for this device.
Called YotaPhone 2, the smartphone will be released in late 2014, though details on its hardware specifications haven’t been provided as of now, Pocket-lint reports.
However, Vlad Martynov, CEO of Yota Devices, did confirm that a second-generation device would be launched towards the end of the next year.
For those out of the loop, we should note that the YotaPhone was released with a 4.3-inch E Ink screen that complements its main 4.3-inch LCD HD display, and that it packs a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 processor inside.
The smartphone also features 13-megapixel camera, along with an 1800mAh battery, and Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.
