14 DAY TRIAL // Owners of Xperia Z smartphones out there interested in getting a taste of the Background Defocus feature that Xperia Z1s was made official with at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this month can now download the app.
The Background Defocus camera was extracted from the handset and put up for grabs online, yet it is now an official release, mind you. However, it can be installed without root, which is a great thing.
For those out of the loop, we should note that the application was designed to create a bokeh effect, which involves blurring the background and focusing on a specific part of the image.
The apk for the application can now be found online, with support for Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, and Xperia Tablet Z, and requires the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS to be installed on them, as XperiaBlog notes.
