This week, Sony Mobile has started to push out a new software update for the Xperia Z smartphones out there, delivering it to users as firmware version 10.1.1.A.1.253.

The software has already been spotted on Xperia Z (C6603) devices in Europe with a nice range of improvements packed inside, including some expected to result in a better overall performance of the device.

Additionally, the new firmware release is said to bring white balance display calibration, while also set to change the soft keys and nav bar to black instead of grey.

According to a post on XperiaBlog, the update will also bring along an option to disable the notification light, while featuring other enhancements as well.

Sony has officially announced the availability of the new firmware release for Xperia Z users in France, though it should be delivering it to other markets as well.
