However, we have just received new details on the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the Xperia phones. According to Maurizio De Palma, Sony Ericsson Italy’s head of marketing, the company plans to deploy the upgrade by March 2012.
However, it appears that the update release coincides with the launch of Sony Ericsson’s new Xperia smartphones, which will probably be one of the reasons why the update will be postponed for at least a month.
On the other hand, Sony Ericsson might be able to release the Ice Cream Sandwich update a bit earlier, or the upcoming Xperia flagship devices will be announced in January – February 2012.
