Microsoft has just released a small update for the Xbox SmartGlass application for Android devices. The update is aimed at Google’s mobile platform, as it adds support for more devices and some bug fixes.

According to the official changelog, the application should now work without problems on DROID DNA by HTC devices.

Furthermore, Microsoft claims it has improved parental controls and addressed some security concerns. No additional details on the latter have been disclosed yet.

Xbox SmartGlass 1.2 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 and up. Check it out here.

Keep in mind that Microsoft’s application requires Xbox membership to sign in and that it only works on devices with WVGA screen resolution or higher.
