The software update should be delivered over-the-air

Owners of XOLO X1000 smartphones in India should be able to get a taste of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update as soon as this week, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

According to a recent article on NDTV Gadgets, although the handset vendor did not make an official announcement on the matter, it is indeed gearing up for the launch of the update, and will deliver it to devices over-the-air.

The smartphone arrived on shelves with a 2GHz Intel Atom Z2480 processor packed inside, as well as with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.

Furthermore, the mobile phone packs 1GB of RAM, inside, along with 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and a 1.3MP front camera for video calling.
