XOLO Q700s is a mid-range smartphone that was launched back in January with the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box. However, the Indian company promised that the smartphone would eventually receive an Android 4.4 KitKat update this year.

True to its promise, Xolo released a beta version of the Android 4.4 KitKat build that would be available for Q700S owners at a later date. After more than a month of testing, it appears that the company released the final version of the update.

According to fonearena, XOLO Q700S owners can now download and install Android 4.4 KitKat on their smartphones. Moreover, Xolo is now selling the handset with KitKat on board, so there’s no need to wait for the update anymore.

It’s also worth mentioning that the update is rolled out OTA (over the air) in stages, so not all Q700S devices will get it at the same time.

The Android 4.4 KitKat update adds lots of new features and improvements, including redesigned status and navigation bars, printing support, a brand new dialer application, new email app, and a restyled camera UI.
