One of the downsides of the Windows Phone platform, especially for a reviewer, is the fact that it doesn’t allow you to take screenshots.

However, this might change once Microsoft launches Windows Phone 8. According to WPDang, the next version of Microsoft’s mobile platform, Windows Phone 8 will come with screen capture capability as a standard feature.

This means that those who own a Windows Phone 8 device will be able to capture screenshots using a key combination. WPDang claims that the users will have to press the Windows button and the camera shutter at the same time in order to capture a screenshot.

The same feature might be included with Windows Phone 7.8, though there is no confirmation yet.

Still, if the key combination for taking screenshots is available for Windows Phone 7.8 devices, this means that most current smartphones will get the features.
