Microsoft has hinted many times that it plans to bring lots of new features and improvements to Windows Phone platform in the next iteration.

The Redmond-based company has already confirmed that a Notification Center will be included in Windows Phone 8.1, along with a Siri-like voice assistant currently known as Cortana.

However, aside from these major new features, Microsoft will be adding some tweaks and various settings that the current version of Windows Phone is missing.

WMpoweruser reports that Chinese blog site WPbar.cn published one of the few screenshots showing the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1. If the leaked image is not fake, then Microsoft is definitely bringing separate volume controls to Windows Phone users.

This means that users will be able to set the volume control for the applications separately from the ringer’s volume. This feature is not yet available for Windows Phone users.
