It looks like many retailers are trying to get rid of the Motorola XOOM in order to make room for the next XOOM 2 tablets.

Australian retailers JB Hi-Fi and Costco decided to slash a big chunk off Wi-Fi Motorola XOOM price and are now offering the tablet for only $395 (293 EUR).

According to the latest hearsay, Harvey Norman runs the same deal for the Wi-Fi Motorola XOOM, but we cannot confirm it yet and the retailer's webstore has the slate priced at $605 (445 EUR).

Although the XOOM is now delivered with Android Honeycomb on board, it may be among the first to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade next year.

The tablet comes with 32GB storage, dual cameras, HDMI and microUSB ports, Wi-Fi connectivity and dual core 1 GHz processor.
