WhatsApp continues to bring new features to its mobile application, which is understandable given the fierce competition on the instant messaging market.

The newest feature that the company plans to integrate onto its Windows Phone application will allow users to tweak the ability to autodownload media files based on their connection type.

WPCentral reports that the beta version of WhatsApp Messenger has already received a setting menu that provides users with multiple options they can choose from when downloading media content on their smartphones.

WhatsApp users will be able to opt to download and save media files based on these types of connection: on mobile data, on Wi-Fi and when roaming.

Aside from the new settings, the new 2.11.366 beta app hints to a possible new feature that will allow users to attach and receive audio files directly rather than having to create audio clips.
