Android users who prefer to test WhatsApp’s new features before they get released for the general public will be happy to know that developers have just released a new version on their website.

Once again, this is not a stable version, so you won’t find it on Google Play Store, but you can sideload it from third-party stores. The new update for WhatsApp Messenger brings the application to version 2.11.212, though developers may push a previous iteration on Google Play store.

This is the third update for the beta version of WhatsApp that is released this week. We reported yesterday on version 2.11.211, which brought Azerbaijan and Tamil support, but the first update delivered this week doesn’t have an official changelog.

Luckily, the last one does. According to the developers, WhatsApp Messenger 2.11.212 brings some “miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements” in comparison with previous versions.

No additional details have been provided, but at least we know that there aren’t any new features being introduced in the new application.

Anyway, you can now download WhatsApp Messenger for Android 2.11.212 for free via Softpedia. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.1 and up. Keep in mind though that WhatsApp is not yet compatible with Android ART.
