The update is likely to bring small improvements and bug fixes

WhatsApp Messenger for Android is getting another small update today. This would be the fourth new version of the instant messenger that WhatsApp releases on its official website this week.

None of the previous iterations have been uploaded onto Google Play Store and this one will share the same faith, so don’t look for an update if you already have the application installed on your Android phone.

Given the fact that this is probably a beta iteration, there’s no changelog available, so we can only assume that it brings some small improvements and bug fixes.

You can now download WhatsApp Messenger for Android 2.11.144 for free via Softpedia. The application should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 2.1 and up. Keep in mind though that WhatsApp does not work on Android tablets.
