WhatsApp continues to bring new features and improvements to its applications and the Windows Phone version seems to be targeted by numerous updates lately.

Each of these updates brought in some new features, as well as various improvements and bug fixes. The newest update is no exception to the rule, as developers included some new functions meant to improve user experience even further.

According to WMPowerUser, the new update for WhatsApp Beta for Windows Phone adds the option to make other users admin of a group chat.

In addition, the update also brings another feature that would allow users to see when another user is typing when in a group chat. This option is not available yet in the stable version of WhatsApp, but if testing ends successfully, it should be introduced with the next update.

Speaking of which, WhatsApp beta for Windows Phone is not open to users, so unless you have been accepted into the program, you won’t be able to benefit from these changes yet.

Development of the Windows Phone version of WhatsApp is a little behind Android and iOS, but hopefully once these updates make it to the stable iteration, the application will become much more smoother and less battery hungry.
