One of the most popular instant messaging applications for mobile devices, WeChat, has just received a major update that brings many new features and improvements.

The Android version of WeChat has just received a new feature that would allow users to translate messages with a tap of the finger. Simply long press a message and the application will automatically translate it.

The application can translate messages from no less than 20 different languages, including Bahasa Indonesia, French, Spanish and Chinese.

But this is not all. Developers have added an extra layer of security for group chats, so you will now be able to input the required digits to create a group with friends nearby.

Furthermore, WeChat for Android now allows users to select multiple messages and them to Favorites. Last but not least, the application provides WeChat users with the option to add tags to favorite messages for quick searches.

You can now download WeChat for Android for free via Google Play Store. Keep in mind that the new application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.3 and up. It's also worth noting that some features will only work on smartphones running Android 4.0 and up.
