The biggest smartphone ever launched by Sony, Xperia Z Ultra was released on the market last summer. This month, the Japanese handset maker announced a Wi-Fi-only version of the Xperia Z Ultra, which would compete with other 7-inch tablets available on the market.

The Wi-Fi-only Xperia Z Ultra is now available in Japan and as part of the marketing campaign, Sony has launched new commercials.

One of these commercials emphasizes the phablet’s huge display, but forgets that the smartphone does not come with GSM capabilities.

The Xperia Z Ultra Wi-Fi boasts a 6.44-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and packs Sony’s TRILUMINOS technology, along with X-Reality Engine.

Apart from the lack of phone capabilities, the Wi-Fi-only version of Xperia Z Ultra has the same features as the standard version. For more details on the phablet, make sure you check out our database for Sony Xperia Z Ultra full specs.
