Gameloft confirmed the next title in the Modern Combat series a few months ago. It has also released some info on the game a couple of times, but we have yet to learn when exactly the game will be available.

However, it appears that we’re getting closer to the launch of Modern Combat 5: Blackout, as Gameloft has just released the teaser trailer for this year’s E3.

This means that we might get more details later today or sometime this week. For those unaware, Modern Combat 5: Blackout will feature four soldier classes: Assault, Heavy, Recon and Sniper.

More information revealed by Gameloft last month refers to how players will be able to progress into the game. Modern Combat 5: Blackout will feature a “unified progression system,” which means that both single and multiplayer progress will be intertwined to offer a single gaming experience.

This means that the experience you get with a character while playing the single-player campaign will be reflected in the multiplayer aspect as well, the moment you decide to start a multiplayer session.

Gameloft’s Modern Combat 5: Blackout has been confirmed to arrive on Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms, though it’s unclear whether they will be available simultaneously or not.
