Vodafone Australia has just confirmed the carrier will begin rolling out a minor firmware update for Samsung Galaxy S III starting July.

However, the update will only be available for download via Samsung Kies desktop software, while a FOTA (firmware over the air) method of update will be made available in the following days.

Keep in mind that this is only a maintenance update, so no major changes will be added, instead the update will bring fix bugs and performance improvements. Some minor stability issues will be addressed too.

According to Vodafone, the minor update will be released in as staged process, which means that not all Galaxy S III owners will be able to download the update at the same time, so those who have yet to receive the notification update should check for it manually.
