In addition to a series of updates getting ready to enter carrier testing for Android devices, Vodafone Australia is also preparing the release of new software for two Windows Phones, the Lumia 800 and 7 Trophy.

The mobile phone carrier notes on its blog that both software updates have been already approved, and that Microsoft should start deploying them soon.

HTC’s 7 Trophy is set to get a taste of the Windows Phone 7.5 (8107) platform, while Nokia’s Lumia 800 will receive the FW12072 update, also based on Windows Phone 7.5.

Given the fact that the roll-out depends on Microsoft, Vodafone’s customers owning one of these handsets will have to wait for the software giant to make an announcement on the matter.

However, it should not be too long before the update process starts, to stay tuned.
