Virgin Mobile is the second Canadian carrier to announce the upcoming availability of the long-awaited Android 4.0 ICS update for Samsung Galaxy S II.

It appears that an internal document confirming that the update will come later today has just been leaked online via MobileSyrup.

According to this document, “Virgin Mobile is super excited to announce Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be available for the Samsung Galaxy S II on Thursday, May 3rd.”

Bell Canada and Virgin Mobile are the first Canadian carriers to offer this update for the Samsung Galaxy S II, but we expect Rogers, TELUS and SaskTel to follow soon.

Virgin Mobile customers who own a Galaxy S II device should search for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update via Samsung Kies desktop software.
