Mobile phone users out there looking for a new luxury smartphone to add to their collection should consider the purchase of Vertu Signature Touch, a new high-end smartphone that will also sport a high price tag.

The handset was made official with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 1080p resolution, as well as with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor inside, making it one of the most powerful luxury devices out there.

Moreover, the phone arrives on shelves with a 13-megapixel camera on the back, as well as with a 2.1-MP front camera, and with 64GB of internal memory.

In terms of connectivity, the new device offers support for 4G LTE networks, along with Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities, as well as NFC. On top of that, the phone was also packed with wireless charging capabilities.

Vertu Signature Touch also sports a Bang & Olufsen speaker system, while running under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

When released later this month, the smartphone won’t be cheap at all, and those interested in grabbing it will have to get £6,750 ($11,300/€8,300) out of their pockets for one unit alone, as SlashGear notes.

For that kind of money, however, users will receive a phone packing a sapphire crystal display and a body featuring a mixture of titanium, hand-finished leather, and ceramic.
