14 DAY TRIAL // The Nokia Amber update that became officially available for download for Windows Phone 8-based Lumia devices last week is now up for grabs for Verizon’s Nokia Lumia 822 handset as well, recent reports on the matter suggest.
Previously, the update was expected to arrive on the smartphone as soon as Friday, August 23, but it seems that users can already go to Settings > Phone Update > Check for update to see whether it has been pushed to their devices as well, as WPCentral notes.
Based on Windows Phone 8 GDR2 (General Distribution Release 2), Nokia Amber packs a nice range of enhancements inside, such as flip to silence, Glance screen, and a series of improvements for the phone’s camera.
Furthermore, following the update, users will also see that the Other storage issue has been resolved, and that Data Sense is available on their smartphones.
