The smartphone is expected to hit shelves on October 18

One of the latest RAZR series smartphones is about to make its debut in the United States through Verizon Wireless.

Motorola DROID RAZR HD is rumored to arrive at Verizon on October 18, though the carrier has yet to confirm the launch date and pricing options.

Although we don’t have any confirmation on the phone’s availability Droid-Life reports that Verizon Stores have just started receiving DROID RAZR HD screen protectors which indicates the launch of the smartphone is very close.

The DROID RAZR HD will be delivered with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich platform onboard, but Motorola confirmed a Jelly Bean update would be available later this year.

The smartphone is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM and 12GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card. Stay tuned for more info on the phone’s availability and pricing.
