Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is getting ready for the release of a new HTC smartphone on its airwaves, the high-end HTC Rezound, and some more proof of a near launch started to emerge.

The wireless carrier is expected to make the new device official as soon as tomorrow, and the fact that it is currently preparing the HTC Rezound page on its website seems to be confirmation of that.

Rezound, previously spotted into the wild as the HTC Vigor, was already seen in a series of leaked photos and even caught on video, and land as a powerful, highly appealing Android device at Verizon.

The handset reportedly packs a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB of RAM, along with a 4.3-inch screen delivering a 720p resolution, 16GB of internal memory, and a high-quality camera on the back. The handset also features the HTC Sense 3.5 user interface, rumor has it.

You can head over to Verizon's website to have a look at the said page, which was up but empty at the time of this article.
