Verizon Wireless has made official yet another rugged smartphone in its Android lineup, namely the Casio G’zOne Commando 4G LTE set to become available for purchase as soon as June 27.

The new device will land on shelves at the wireless carrier with a price tag of $99 (€75) attached to it, with the signing of a two-year contract agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The smartphone sports a 4-inch screen, a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, front camera for video calling, a 1800mAh battery inside, and an enhanced G’zGear multi-sensor tool.

“Designed to withstand extreme and unpredictable shock, water, dust, vibration, salt fog and humidity conditions, the exclusive CASIO G’zOne Commando 4G LTE is the latest in the line of ruggedized smartphones designed to face the elements,” Verizon notes.
