Although Verizon delayed the launch of the Galaxy S III once again, Samsung has already released the smartphone’s source code.

A few days after officially confirming the availability of the device in July, Verizon backtracked and said the Galaxy S III would not hit shelves until July 12.

However, several customers who pre-ordered the Galaxy S III from Verizon have recently reported that their devices are currently tagged with the “shipping” status, which means they will get it a few days ahead of the official launch.

Android tech-savvy and developers can now download the source code for Verizon’s Galaxy S III in order to cook new customized ROMs.

Word is that this version of Galaxy S III will come with a locked bootloader, but the source code should help devs create new ROMs with ease. Check it out here.
