While everyone is still waiting for Samsung to globally roll out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S III, US-based carrier Verizon announces the upcoming availability of a maintenance update.

Software version IMM76D for Samsung Galaxy S III is now on “Coming Soon” at Verizon and promises to bring a handful of stability and performance improvements.

The update is said to add a new Enhanced Zooming Feature to user interface for Web browsing, reading emails and more. Verizon Galaxy S III owners will be happy to know the update is also meant to reduce the device’s resets.

Last but not least, this minor update enhances stability in Google Play. There are no details on the availability of the update, but it shouldn’t take too long for Verizon to start the roll-out.
