Perhaps many of you have never heard of BLU, an US-based OEM that launches affordable Android smartphones. Even if you live in the United States, there's a high chance that you have never seen a BLU smartphone in real life.

However, OEM seems to be doing fine launching its affordable but good enough Android smartphones in the United States, Mexico and other countries in Latin America.

In fact it's doing so well that BLU has decided to start offering smartphones powered by other platforms than Android, and given the fact that Microsoft has recently announced that it will offer its Windows Phone mobile operating system to OEMs free of charge, this is what the US-based company has chosen.

According to WMPoweruser, BLU has just teased its first Windows Phone-powered smartphone, which seems to be a low-end device: “Sneak peek… What’s this I see, that’s different from the others?”

It's unclear if BLU will launch a Windows Phone 8 handset or it will go directly for Windows Phone 8.1 and delay it for the summer.

Aside from the picture that shows the bottom of the smartphone, no other details on the device have been unveiled by BLU, but we expect the company to share more info very soon. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
