We have reported earlier this week that US Cellular will be among the first carriers in the United States to offer the highly anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4.

The information was confirmed by an internal US Cellular document that leaked online a few days ago, which seems to have been accurate.

The US-based carrier has just confirmed that Android 4.4.2 KitKat is now available for Samsung Galaxy S4, so those who own the smartphone might want to check for it by going to Settings / About Device / Software Update / Update.

Keep in mind that the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in waves, which means that not all Samsung Galaxy S4 owners will get it at the same time.

However, US Cellular has announced that Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Galaxy S4 is also available for download via Samsung Kies desktop software, so you might want to try getting it that way if the OTA is not yet available for you.
