UC Browser users will be happy to know that the good folks at UCWeb have already started to work on the next version of their Android browser.

Those who wish to be part of the beta program of UC Browser 9.8 can now download the new version from the developer’s website, but keep in mind that your feedback is required in order to help squash any bugs.

UC Browser 9.8 beta comes with a few new features and improvements, such as optimized menu, smoother browsing and less memory usage.

The latter means that the browser will offer more efficient memory usage, thus allowing for a more stable browsing experience. You can now check your phone’s available storage even while downloading stuff from the Internet.

Another improvement that hopefully will make it to UC Browser 9.8 is called Smart Website Search and allows the browser to automatically predict the site URL when a user types its keyword in the search bar.

More details on how to download and install this version of UC Browser are available on the developer’s forum. Once again, we do not recommend installing this version of the application unless you are into testing software, as it may not work as smoothly as it should.
