The not-so-free third-party Twitter client for Windows Phone, Tweetium has just received an important update is that brings some new features and improvements.

First of all, developers confirmed they have added animated GIF uploads support, as well as improved quality for many types of uploaded images.

But that's not all. The official changelog also mentions that multiple image uploads should now work again (adjusted to breaking change in Twitter's API).

Furthermore, Tweetium for Windows Phone now shows quoted / linked tweet previews in more cases. Also, the update should also improve error handling for image load / capture problems.

Last but not least, developers confirmed that they had also implemented a fix for a reported crash. These are all the changes included in the latest update for Tweetium, but we expect new versions of the application to be released in the not-so-distant future.

You can now download Tweetium for Windows Phone for $2.99 via Windows Phone Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and up.

Keep in mind that the base app price offers the fully featured standard Universal App with support for using one Twitter account at a time, while the Pro version gets you access to support for up to 7 accounts.
