Arcade fighting games are among the most popular among console gamers. However, developer G-Gee has decided to bring a “Street Fighter” style game on Google’s Android platform.

“The King of Fighters” is a 2D fighting game, which is trying to take advantage of the latest Android hardware. Unfortunately, only a handful of smartphones have been confirmed by the developers.

It appears that only the following device will be fully compatible with the game: Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Sony Ericsson Xperia acro, and Xperia PLAY.

G-Gee claims that other devices may work as well, but it does not guarantee they will fully support all features of the game.

“The King of Fighters” is now available for download via Google Play store for $4.99 and requires registration for a free membership to G-Gee in order to be able to play it.
