Rovio’s latest game for Android devices, The Croods has nothing to do with the company’s highly successful Angry Birds franchise.

The game follows the life of family living in the Stone Age, The Croods. Keep in mind that while the game is free to play, some items in the game require payment with real-life money.

With more than 500,000 downloads on Google Play in less than a week, one may think that The Croods is another success from Rovio.

However, the average rating for The Croods is 3.5 out of 5 stars, which doesn’t look so good for the creators of Angry Birds.

Anyway, Rovio has just delivered a new update for The Croods, which is said to include more bug fixes and improvements meant to further enhance gameplay experience.

The Croods 1.0.4 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
